The library knows that distance education students have different needs than on-campus students. All library services at SFA are available to the distance education community, and we work hard to meet the needs of all distance learners.
Not sure where to start? Have a project that feels overwhelming? Let our expert librarians guide you through our resources with a personal research appointment. Work together by phone, chat, or email to get one-on-one help.
The library has a rich collection of online information resources to support your research, including thousands of e-books and e-journals. You can access any of these information resources by logging in with your MySFA username and password.
Need books and journal articles but can’t find them online?
Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services allows you to request materials and articles not owned by the Steen Library and articles and book chapters from the library collection. Submit requests for materials and the item will be delivered to your email account. This service is free and in most cases you can receive your item within 24 to 48 hours.
If you are in the area, we'd love for you to visit. If not, there are many other libraries across Texas that you can use as an SFA student.
